BY ZACH NELSON of The Napkin Chapters
It's no mystery to the Midwest that the better part of the year is spent in isolation. The free time that comes from this often leads to peaceful opportunities — catching up with what's on the over-populated bookshelf, giving plenty of play time to the ever-growing record collection, almost going completely mad, over-analyzing everything I write. I take a break from it all, pour a cup of coffee, and entertain the dogs in the back yard.
It's cold as shit and these cigarettes burn too slowly.
The winter I became comfortable, stone cold sober._Z. Nelson_
